Carlos Ortiz Wins International Series Macau, Secures Spot at The Open

The International Series Macau presented by Wynn concluded in spectacular fashion at Macau Golf and Country Club on March 23, with Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz emerging as champion. Ortiz delivered a flawless final round, shooting a six-under-par 64 to secure victory at 22-under overall.

With this triumph, Ortiz not only claimed the prestigious title but also earned a coveted spot at The Open in July. He will be joined by runner-up Patrick Reed and third-place finisher Jason Kokrak, as the tournament served as an Open Qualifying Series event, granting three players direct entry into golf’s oldest major.

Ortiz’s Dominant Performance

Carlos Ortiz showcased exceptional skill throughout the tournament, maintaining consistency under pressure. His final-round 64 solidified his position atop the leaderboard, ensuring a well-earned victory.
