Former Australian No. 1 Ajla Tomljanovic has been granted a wildcard entry into the Singapore Tennis Open (STO) singles main draw. Known for her consistency and grit on the court, the three-time Grand Slam quarter-finalist will bring added excitement to the tournament.

Tomljanovic, who reached a career-high WTA ranking of World No. 32 in April 2023, announced her participation via social media, expressing her enthusiasm for competing at the STO. Tournament organizers have confirmed that more wildcard entries will be announced soon, adding intrigue to the event’s lineup.

Withdrawals Open Doors for New Faces

The STO has also seen notable changes in its roster. Sofia Kenin, the 2020 Australian Open champion, and Nadia Podoroska, a 2020 French Open semifinalist, have withdrawn from the main draw due to undisclosed reasons.

Their spots will be filled by Yulia Starodubtseva of Ukraine and Rebecca Marino of Canada, adding fresh dynamics to the competition. Both players are looking to capitalize on this opportunity to make their mark on the tournament.
