Both teams, after starting the season with two losses, have surged back with consecutive victories, setting the stage for a high-stakes battle at 12:00 noon, with a share of third place alongside the idle National U Bulldogs up for grabs.

The UST Golden Spikers, who finished as UAAP silver medalists last season, will rely on standout performances from JJ Macam and Gboy de Vega. Meanwhile, the Letran Knights, who secured third place in the previous NCAA season, will count on Vince Himzon and John Bautista to lead their charge. Both teams are keen to capitalize on their strengths while exploiting their opponent’s weaknesses in this pivotal showdown.

UST lead assistant coach Benjamin Mape emphasized the importance of strategic preparation, stating, “We need to study our weaknesses, intensify our strengths, and pinpoint the weaknesses of our opponents.”

In the day’s other men’s matchup at 2:00 p.m., the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Altas will look to rebound from a tough five-set loss to UST as they take on the winless Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals. The Altas, led by Kobe Tabuga and Jefferson Marapoc, aim to join the winner of the UST-Letran clash in bolstering their playoff hopes.
