Multi-awarded broadcast journalist and highly popular for being a true public servant, ACT-CIS Congressman Erwin Tulfo joined the bandwagon of prominent personalities in hailing the huge successes in Paris of the newest Philippine sporting hero Carlos Edriel Yulo.

“You’re super human Caloy. Thank you for making history as the first Filipino to win two gold medals in the Olympics. Filipinos all over the world are hailing your success,” said Tulfo.

Tulfo, defender of the poor, said he will support the country’s various sporting grassroots programs to find hidden gems like Yulo.

“Yulo proved to the world that Filipinos can very well compete and beat world-class athletes. Let us find the next Pinoy sporting hero,” said Tulfo, who is also Deputy Majority Leader of Congress.

Sports-loving Brig. Gen Estrella, commander, Air Logistics Command of the Philippine Air Force, was also elated with Yulo’s Paris conquest. Weightlifer Hidilyn Diaz, who gave the Philippines its fiest Olympic gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, belongs to the Air Force.

“Carlos Yulo just like Sgt. Hidilyn Diaz of the PAF personifies hardwork, passion and discipline. He is a great inspiration to all Filipinos, who dreams big despite great odds. My snappy salute to him,” said Maj. Gen. Estrella, a PMAer and proud son of Gumaca, Quezon.

Olongapo City Mayor Atty. Rolen Paulino Jr and Mayor Webster Letargo of the progressive seaside town of Gumaca in Quezon province also praised Yulo’s double-gold victories in the city of Love.
