Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons rallied past Alas teammates Sunny Villapando and Dij Rodriguez to claim the women’s title at the PNVF Beach Volleyball Invitational in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
James Buytrago and Ran Abdilla battled hard but fell to Australia’s D’Artagnan Potts and Jack Pearse in straight sets, exiting the men’s main draw of the Volleyball World 2025 Beach Pro Tour Challenge at Nuvali Sands Court.

Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons staged a thrilling comeback to rule the PNVF Beach Volleyball National Open, overcoming Alas Pilipinas teammates Villapando and Rodriguez in the Final. James Buytrago and Jude Garcia also clinched the men’s title after an unfortunate injury to their opponents.
Varga and Buytrago overpowered the Latvian team that they also defeated in straight sets in the pool play of the tournament featuring 38 teams from 16 countries.

Rancel Varga and James Buytrago kept the Philippine flag flying in the FIVB Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures by advancing to the semifinals with a 21-15, 26-24 victory over Japan’s Yusuke Ishijima and Kensuke Shoji on Saturday, April 13.
