Angel Otom claimed her fifth gold and sixth overall medal in the 13th ASEAN Para Games, dominating the women’s 50-meter freestyle S4-S5 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Philippine para swimmers Gary Bejino and Ernie Gawilan opened the medal haul at the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, with gold medals in the men’s 400m freestyle events. Other Filipino athletes also secured silver and bronze medals in para basketball, powerlifting, cycling, and bowling.

The Philippine national men’s 3×3 wheelchair team secured a semifinal spot at the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand after winning its first two matches. Captain Kenneth Tapia and teammates delivered dominant performances against Indonesia and Malaysia.
