Sports Bytes Philippines was established in 2020, initially put up to host video interviews and transform them into creative presentations for the benefit of the sports-loving public. It has since expanded to provide sports buffs news and special articles for their reading pleasure.
The site was put up by Brian Yalung, a conservative writer who spent roughly nine years with a leading newspaper in the Philippines. He pioneered the online presence of two tabloids and helped boost the Sports section of the broadsheet. This included daily updates, establishing social media presence and creating graphics and videos.
Having resigned in 2018, he went on to contribute for the online sports site of a popular TV station until 2020. He is now focusing on Sports Bytes Philippines to bring all those experiences together and deliver quality and unique news straight from athletes and sports bodies in an effort to contribute to information needed in the Philippine sports industry.
