Mohammad “The Latest” Fakhreddine leaves mixed martial arts with a distinction few fighters can claim: He helped put Lebanese MMA on the global map. His retirement marks the end of a career that produced three BRAVE Combat Federation world titles and a place in the promotion’s Hall of Fame.
BRAVE CF’s tribute to Fakhreddine reflects more than his championship record. The Lebanese fighter became a defining figure in the organization’s history, carrying his country’s name onto the international stage while competing across two weight divisions.

His legacy is rooted in a historic achievement at BRAVE CF 41 in September 2020. Fakhreddine knocked out Daniel “Gaucho” Souza Pereira in the fourth round to become the first Lebanese fighter to win a world title under a major MMA promotion.
Fakhreddine’s Historic BRAVE CF Titles
The middleweight championship was only the beginning of Fakhreddine’s rise. At BRAVE CF 57 in March 2022, he defeated Mohammed “L’Ambiance” Said Maalem to claim the light heavyweight title, becoming a two-division world champion.
Fakhreddine returned to the middleweight summit at BRAVE CF 96 in June 2025. His first-round knockout of Erko “The Bounty Hunter” Jun secured his third BRAVE CF world title, adding another milestone to a career already defined by championship success.
His achievements extended beyond the two divisions. Fakhreddine finished as runner-up in the KHK Openweight World Championship Tournament at BRAVE CF 29 in November 2019, further establishing his place among the promotion’s leading competitors.
The three championship victories tell the story of his success inside the cage. His historic first world title, however, remains the achievement most closely connected to his significance as a Lebanese MMA pioneer.
BRAVE CF Honors Lebanese MMA Pioneer
Fakhreddine’s place in BRAVE CF history was recognized with his induction into the Hall of Fame Class of 2025. He became the first fighter inducted, alongside fellow inaugural honoree Carlos “The Roaring Lion” Kremer.
BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid credited Fakhreddine’s achievements with helping put Lebanese and Arab MMA on the map. Shahid also praised his dedication, competitive spirit and contribution to the organization, describing him as an integral part of its history.
Fakhreddine, meanwhile, reflected on the organization’s role in his career. He expressed pride in the championships he won and in representing Lebanon and the Arab region, while thanking BRAVE CF’s leadership, teammates and supporters.
His retirement closes a career that brought championship success and international recognition to Lebanese MMA. Through three world titles and his historic first championship victory, Fakhreddine leaves behind a legacy that extends beyond the BRAVE CF cage.
