How BRAVE CF Conquered 20 European Countries in Just 10 Years

BRAVE Combat Federation launched in Bahrain to take MMA beyond traditional borders, and Europe has been central to that mission. Ten years later, BRAVE CF has staged events in 20 European countries, the most for any MMA organization, according to the promotion.

Founded in 2016 under the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BRAVE CF has since staged 109 events across 39 host countries. More than 900 fighters from 95 nations have competed under its banner.

BRAVE CF Europe Strategy: Local Partners and Emerging MMA Markets

Rather than concentrating its schedule in established MMA territories, BRAVE CF has worked with local partners and federations to develop events in emerging regions. The approach gives regional athletes pathways to international competition.

Europe has been central to that strategy, with events staged in 20 countries. The reach spans Western and Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Baltic region.

“Europe became an important part of our strategy because of the depth of talent and passion for MMA across the continent,” BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid stated. The comment underscores why the region became a key part of the promotion’s plan.

“We wanted to create opportunities for those athletes while bringing international competition to their home markets,” Shahid said. The goal ties directly to the promotion’s push to build events in emerging regions with local partners.

BRAVE CF Global Reach: 1.7 Billion Households and a 10-Year Milestone

Europe is one piece of a wider global footprint. BRAVE CF says its global distribution has generated a broadcast household reach of 1.7 billion, while its social media channels have surpassed 2 billion lifetime views.

Beyond the numbers, the promotion points to the platform it has built for fighters from 95 nations. That includes athletes from established MMA markets and emerging regions, who share a common stage.

“Our 10th anniversary is a milestone, but it is also the foundation for our next chapter,” Shahid shared. “We will continue entering new territories, developing talent and finding new ways to connect MMA with audiences around the world.”

From its Bahrain roots to a presence across 39 countries, BRAVE CF’s first 10 years have laid the groundwork for an even broader second decade. The next chapter begins with a record-setting European footprint already in place.
