Arellano University stayed unbeaten in NCAA Season 102 by surviving a wild finish against Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 82-81. T-Mc Ongotan powered the Chiefs with a career-best 29 points.
The win was Arellano’s fourth straight in as many games in Group B. Letran had a chance to win it late but missed two three-pointers, leaving the Knights one point short.

Ongotan’s Career-Best 29 Powers Arellano Past Letran
Ongotan did a bit of everything for the Chiefs. The guard scored 29 points and added 12 rebounds, three steals, three blocks and two assists as Arellano kept its perfect record intact.
Arellano faced a Letran side without Jonathan Manalili, who was sidelined by a right hand injury. Karl Flores followed with 10 points, five rebounds and two steals, while King Vinoya added nine points and seven rebounds.
Letran Misses Late Threes as Arellano Holds On
Letran still had a chance to win after Ongotan missed his free throws in the final 12 seconds. But Denzil Sison-Walker and Nath Montecillo missed their respective three-point attempts, and Arellano held on for the 82-81 win.
Sison-Walker returned to the game after what appeared to be a left knee injury. He finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three assists, while Chad Gammad scored 23 points on 6-of-10 shooting from long range.
Rookie Justin Cargo kept up his stellar play with 20 points and four rebounds for the Knights. It was not enough, as Letran fell short by one.
