After a decade of running on separate tracks, the Spikers’ Turf is finally crashing the Premier Volleyball League’s slate. Starting Oct. 10, men’s and women’s volleyball will share the same arena for the first time.

The Spikers’ Turf’s 2026 Invitational Conference tips off at the SM Seaside Cebu Arena alongside the PVL’s All-Filipino Conference, putting the country’s two top leagues under one roof on the same night.

Historic Triple-Header Kicks Off Shared PVL Slate

Opening day unfolds as a historic triple-header. Choco Mucho battles Capital1 at 1 p.m., a Spikers’ Turf match follows at 3:30 p.m., and Creamline closes the night against Akari at 6 p.m.

The crossover is not a one-time event. Sports Vision Management Group Inc., which runs both leagues, plans to make the shared playdates permanent, slotting Spikers’ Turf games between PVL matchups.

The combined schedule will run every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday going forward, giving fans a doubleheader experience built around both leagues instead of choosing one over the other.

“Foremost, I would like to thank Cignal and Sports Vision, PVL, for making the dream possible,” Spikers’ Turf tournament director Mozzy Ravena said at the league’s 10/10 press conference at Novotel Manila.

“It took 10 years,” Ravena said. “Even from the very beginning, we wanted to play side by side with the PVL, and finally, dreams do come true. Thank you so much for making it happen.”

Spikers’ Turf Field Blends Veterans, Fresh Faces

Beyond the shared dates, the Spikers’ Turf will keep its own separate playdates as 10 teams battle for the Invitational Conference crown. Six squads return from the earlier Open Conference.

Defending champion Criss Cross headlines that group, joined by Savouge, Alpha Insurance, Cabstars, 3B, and VNS. Newcomer Clearskiiin debuts, while the Armed Forces of the Philippines makes its return.

Rounding out the field are the top two teams from the ongoing V-League Men’s Collegiate Challenge, blending established clubs, first-timers, and rising collegiate talent into one competitive pool.

The 10 teams will battle through a single round-robin elimination. The top four advance to a round-robin semifinal round, where they will be joined by two international guest teams.

From there, the top two finishers will meet in a winner-take-all knockout championship match, capping an Invitational Conference built on both continuity and fresh blood.

Sports Vision president Ricky Palou called the milestone a reflection of how far Philippine volleyball has come since the league’s founding a decade ago.

“Ten seasons is a big milestone for us,” Palou said. “When we started, our goal was simply to provide Filipino volleyball players with a platform to compete and showcase their talent.”

“Ten seasons later, we’re very proud of how far the sport, and our leagues, have come,” he added, pointing to the shared PVL slate as proof of that growth.
