Okebata’s sensational debut instantly became one of the most dominant performances in league history, as he shot a blistering 78 percent from the field, buried three triples, grabbed 10 rebounds, swiped four steals, and added a block. His unstoppable offensive outburst established a new PYBC single-game scoring record, solidifying his emergence as one of the brightest youth basketball stars in the country.

Despite falling behind by 13 points early, Drel’s Lechon x MJB refused to collapse under pressure, with Okebata igniting the rally through relentless scoring, transition brilliance, and game-changing defensive intensity.

Jomari Luna provided crucial support throughout the comeback, contributing nine points, four steals, three rebounds, and three assists while helping orchestrate the team’s poise under pressure.

Smile 360 Bullies looked poised to control the game behind the efforts of Ace Chester Cruz and Lucas Sanchez, who each scored 15 points. However, as Okebata’s offensive barrage intensified, Smile 360 struggled to respond defensively, ultimately surrendering their double-digit lead.

Elsewhere in the Under-16 bracket, Golden Cahaz-Mafia secured a 74-61 victory over Hooplab-MCBA behind Hailey Nido’s 20-point effort, while Scrillah Kings dominated Nilvan’s Rizal Knights 117-58 in Under-14 action.

In the Under-12 division, Converge Super Fiber x Coach T delivered one of the tournament’s most lopsided wins, dismantling Oak Sports 140-17 behind a balanced team performance.

Still, Saturday’s spotlight unquestionably belonged to Okebata, whose record-breaking scoring clinic not only lifted Drel’s Lechon x MJB to a thrilling victory but also sent a powerful message that PYBC Season 2 may have discovered its next breakout superstar.
