BRAVE Combat Federation is set to return to Bulgaria on Saturday, August 1, with another major event scheduled at the Burgas Arena. The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion continues its expansion in Europe, once again partnering with the Bulgarian Fight Agency to stage the upcoming showcase.

The event marks BRAVE CF’s third consecutive year holding a card in the country. It reinforces the organization’s long-term commitment to developing mixed martial arts across Eastern Europe.

BRAVE CF strengthens Bulgaria presence

BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid identified Bulgaria as a key destination for the promotion’s European push. He cited the strong fan support, reliable local partnerships, and the emergence of regional talent as major factors behind the continued investment.

The promotion remains focused on providing a global platform for Bulgarian athletes. It also aims to identify and develop new prospects who can compete on the international stage.

Previous events build growing momentum

BRAVE CF first staged an event in Bulgaria in August 2024. That card featured a light heavyweight clash between Mohamed Said Maalem and Atanas Djambazov.

Said Maalem secured a technical knockout win in the third round of that bout. The event also highlighted local fighters and helped establish a strong presence for the promotion in the country.

BRAVE CF returned in July 2025 with another event that further strengthened its foothold. The card was headlined by Said Maalem against Kaloyan Kolev, continuing the promotion’s momentum.

Those successive events positioned Bulgaria as a regular stop in BRAVE CF’s European calendar. The upcoming August showcase is expected to build on that foundation as bout announcements are set to follow.
