Arellano maintained its dominance in NCAA cheerleading on Thursday, March 12, securing gold for the seventh consecutive year in the NCAA Season 101 Cheerleading Competition. The event was presented by the Philippine Sports Commission at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The team extended its championship streak that began in 2017 during Season 92, finishing with a total score of 231 points. Coach Lucky San Juan expressed gratitude toward his athletes for their dedication. “Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga bata ko, kung ‘di dahil sa kanila, ‘di magiging successful ‘tong seventh straight,” he said.

He also acknowledged the challenge of defending the title next year, noting that continued success will require even more preparation.
Arellano dominates the podium again
The podium remained the same as last season. Perpetual Help took silver with a score of 221, while Letran claimed bronze with 199.5 points. Even under the pressure of defending their title, San Juan’s confidence in his squad never wavered. “Ang laki ng tiwala ko sa kanila. Sobra nilang inaral at nireview ‘yang mga ‘yan,” he added.
Arellano took home a grand prize of 100,000 pesos, while Perpetual Help and Letran received 75,000 and 50,000 pesos, respectively. Emilio Aguinaldo College finished just outside the podium in fourth place with 185.5 points. Jose Rizal University completed the Top 5 with 162 points.
