The Farm Fresh Foxies weathered a tough battle and outlasted the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 21-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-18, 15-9, in a marathon clash in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference Tuesday night, March 10, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre. The Foxies turned the tide after falling behind two sets to one, finishing strong to claim the victory in the deciding frame.

The Farm Fresh PVL win lifted the team to a 3-4 record while ending a slide that threatened its campaign. Choco Mucho also slipped to 3-4, tying them with the Nxled Chameleons in the standings.

Foxies seize control in final sets
Farm Fresh found its rhythm in the fourth set behind the offensive push of Royse Tubino, who sparked the rally that forced the deciding frame. Tubino delivered several key hits during a stretch that allowed the Foxies to pull away and send the match to a fifth set.
Ces Molina added crucial points late in the set while an attack error by Eya Laure widened the Foxies’ advantage to 19-11. The surge gave Farm Fresh full momentum heading into the decider.
In the fifth set, however, it was Trisha Tubu who delivered the biggest blows. Tubu finished with 22 points and produced two crucial blocks on Sisi Rondina that helped the Foxies stretch their lead to 13-6.
Choco Mucho briefly slowed the run when Kat Tolentino scored, but the Flying Titans struggled to regain control after a misplayed pass involving Deanna Wong and Rondina. The Foxies stayed composed, and Tubu eventually sealed the win with a powerful attack that deflected off the defense and out of bounds.
Balanced effort lifts Farm Fresh
Tubu complemented her scoring output with six blocks, repeatedly disrupting Choco Mucho’s offense in critical moments. Her mix of strong attacks, well-placed shots and timely defensive plays proved decisive in the tight encounter.
Molina delivered an all-around performance with 17 points while completing a triple-double effort that included 13 digs and 13 receptions. Tubino added 14 points while Riri Meneses chipped in 10 markers, including two timely blocks that helped shift momentum.
Setter Alohi Robins-Hardy guided the offense with 22 excellent sets, narrowly outdueling Wong in the playmaking department.
Despite the loss, Choco Mucho had strong scoring performances from Rondina and Tolentino, who each tallied 22 points. Laure finished with 15 markers despite limited minutes, while Lorraine Pecana and Des Cheng contributed seven and six points, respectively.
The match proved evenly matched in offense with both teams producing 67 attack points. However, Farm Fresh’s advantage at the net ultimately made the difference as the Foxies registered 11 blocks, three more than the Flying Titans.
