Magno and Pasuit show resilience in defeat
Despite her loss, Pasuit remained gracious and reflective. Her comments reflected her focus on performing her best regardless of the outcome.
She also emphasized the importance of fighting till the end. Her attitude highlights the determination and sportsmanship that define the Philippine boxing team.
Villegas and the men’s team continue pursuit
Aira Villegas remains the only Filipina still in contention for a gold medal, carrying the hopes of the women’s side. Meanwhile, Eumir Marcial, Weljon Mindoro, Flint Jara, and Jay Brian Baricuatro continue their campaigns on the men’s side.
Jara and Baricuatro are scheduled for later bouts, keeping the Philippines’ chances alive. The team is determined to improve on their bronze medal haul and push for higher podium finishes despite the challenges in the semifinals.
