Cignal surged when the pressure peaked on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, turning a tense, seesawing duel into a resilient five-set triumph over Creamline, 25-18, 20-25, 22-25, 25-16, 15-11, at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal. The Super Spikers delivered sharper execution in the final rallies of a match filled with momentum swings and long, emotional stretches.

Gel Cayuna anchored the decisive push with her steady orchestration, varying tempos and finding the right attackers at the right moments. Her 28 excellent sets reflected her command of the floor as she repeatedly disrupted Creamline’s defensive reads.

KT Trebichavska added another composed outing, stepping into the spotlight during the closing exchanges and outdueling counterpart Coco Schwan.

Cignal breaks away behind sharper execution

Cayuna said the team leaned heavily on composure after falling behind 1–2, knowing Creamline’s reputation for flourishing in fifth sets. Her distribution freed Vanie Gandler, Roselyn Aquino, and Jackie Acuña for a mix of quick hits, crosscourt strikes, and transition points that helped stabilize Cignal early in the tiebreaker.

After both sides traded points to start the frame, Gandler sparked a shift with consecutive back-row conversions for a 6–4 lead. A series of challenge reversals added drama, including a Trebichavska hit overturned by Creamline before Cignal answered with a successful block-touch review to stay ahead 7–4.

Trebichavska’s ace stretched the margin to 9–4, but Creamline responded with a three-point surge. Service errors from both teams tightened the nerves, though Cignal pushed back in front 12–9 after Rose Vargas missed her serve. Trebichavska then capped the night with a clean off-the-block strike after a bruising exchange of attacks.

Balanced scoring carries Super Spikers over the finish line

Trebichavska fired 20 points to pace Cignal’s offense. Gandler added 15, while Aquino and Acuña contributed 12 and 10, respectively. Rookie Jessa Ordiales chipped in nine, and Erika Santos remained impactful despite finishing with eight.

Dawn Catindig stabilized the floor defense with 28 excellent digs, repeatedly extending rallies and preventing Creamline from stringing together scoring bursts.

Schwan carried the Cool Smashers with 25 points, but she was the lone double-digit scorer. Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlos each had nine, Lorie Bernardo added eight, and Michele Gumabao finished with seven. Kyle Negrito produced 24 excellent sets but was ultimately outdueled by Cayuna in the late moments.
