The Baguio-Tagaytay PhilCycling Classic is set to make history as the longest road race ever conducted in the Philippines. The 292-kilometer race will start on Monday, June 23, 2025, from Camp John Hay in Baguio City and will finish at the Tagaytay City Velodrome, a state-of-the-art facility located along Crisanto de los Reyes Avenue in Tagaytay.
With a P100,000 champion’s purse up for grabs, this event promises to be a true test of speed, endurance, and the sheer skill of elite cyclists. In addition to the top prize, the second place finisher will earn P75,000, while the third place will receive P70,000. Even the last-placed finisher will not leave empty-handed, with a P5,000 consolation prize. The event will feature the top 30 finishers from the Tour of Luzon: The Great Revival held last summer.

A Race Like No Other
This historic race is the first of its kind in Philippine cycling history, as it will be held on major expressways, including TPLEX, SCTEX, NLEX, Skyway, SLEX, and CALLAX, making it a unique challenge for cyclists. In addition to the expressways, the course will also pass through the Cavite East West Lateral Road, which will take competitors directly to the Tagaytay City Velodrome, a 250-meter wooden indoor track that meets the standards of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
Sprint Bonuses and Added Incentives
The race will also feature 10 sprints along the expressways, offering a P10,000 bonus for the first cyclist to cross the line at each sprint. A total of P100,000 in sprint bonuses is available, further increasing the stakes for the cyclists.
The event will serve as a combined celebration for several occasions, including Olympic Day, World Bicycle Day, and the Tagaytay City’s 87th Charter Day anniversary. The grand occasion will also see the inauguration of the Tagaytay City Velodrome.
A Grand Collaboration
This landmark event is held in cooperation with key organizations and sponsors, including Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., San Miguel Corp. Infrastructure, and Duckworld PH. Other partners include Milo, Oishi, Smart, and Toyota.
In a special highlight, the event will also feature the contract signing of Filipino athletes with the Olympic Solidarity scholarship program, a major initiative aimed at supporting athletes in their journey to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
The Race for Glory
This groundbreaking race not only offers significant cash prizes but also promises to elevate Philippine cycling to the international stage. With top-tier athletes and elite competitors vying for glory on the longest cycling route ever held in the country, the Baguio-Tagaytay PhilCycling Classic is expected to be a spectacle that will capture the attention of sports enthusiasts across the nation and beyond.
