Philippine pickleball is moving from weekend fun to organized competition, and Skechers wants a spot on the court. The brand is now the official footwear partner of the Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour (MPPT) for its inaugural season.

The partnership was announced Sept. 28 at the Velaris Residences Show Gallery. It arrives as MPPT prepares a debut season with 12 teams competing across five legs in different cities and provinces.

The partnership gives Skechers a presence across the Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour's five-leg inaugural season.

Skechers Becomes Official Footwear Partner of the Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour

Skechers will contribute to the tour’s cash prizes and provide footwear for the MPPT team and raffle activities. Its Viper Court pickleball line, designed for comfort, stability and movement, will also be seen on and around the court.

Skechers will back the tour as a whole rather than a single squad. Two to three Skechers-sponsored teams are expected to take part, including the General Santos team of Jinky Pacquiao.

According to the announcement, Skechers is among the first major global footwear brands to develop a dedicated pickleball shoe line. It also works with top-ranked professional players and is bringing that experience to the Philippine market.

Pickleball Tour Schedule 2026: Dates, Venues and What to Expect

The season was set to open Oct. 3 and 4 at Pickleball Central (PCPH) in Angeles, Pampanga. Next up is Tagaytay City Velodrome on Oct. 17 and 18, followed by Abra Riverbanks Pickleball Hub in La Paz, Abra, on Nov. 7 and 8.

The tour then heads to Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor City, Cavite, on Nov. 14 and 15. The fifth and final leg is set for Nov. 28 and 29, with the venue still to be announced.

With 12 teams of roughly six to 10 players each, MPPT could bring together 72 to 120 athletes. The tour aims to give players more chances to compete, develop their skills and represent their cities.

Skechers Country Manager Sue Pasustento said the brand wants to grow the game beyond a single tournament. “We want more Filipinos to discover the sport,” she added.

Skechers also has a long-term partnership with the Philippine Pickleball Federation (PPF). The brand says it aims to support the sport at different levels, from tournaments and athlete development to community activations and clinics.
