Vadim Nemkov is putting his heavyweight throne on the line against a fighter from his own camp. The Professional Fighters League (PFL) confirmed that the reigning Heavyweight World Champion will defend his title against Sergei Bilostenniy on Saturday, November 14, at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

The bout headlines PFL Dubai, the promotion’s first event in the emirate since its merger with Most Valuable Promotions. It continues a cooperation agreement between PFL, the Dubai Sports Council, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

Nemkov Brings Sambo Pedigree and Unbeaten Streak Into Title Defense

Nemkov enters as PFL’s No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter and a four-time Combat Sambo world champion. He has gone undefeated for a full decade, including his Bellator Light Heavyweight Championship reign before moving up to heavyweight in 2024.

The Russian claimed PFL heavyweight gold last December and has looked dominant at the new weight. Half of his career wins have come by knockout or TKO, and all three of his heavyweight victories have ended in chokes.

Nemkov also trains under legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko, a mentorship that shapes his style and mindset. That legacy travels with him every time the cage door closes.

Bilostenniy Eyes Statement Win to Claim PFL Heavyweight Crown

Bilostenniy, the No. 3-ranked heavyweight, has gone 4-1 since arriving in PFL. His highlight reel includes a spinning head-kick knockout and a heel-hook finish, proof of the versatility he plans to bring to Dubai.

He has notched finishes over Karl Williams, Tyrell Fortune, and former PFL champion Renan Ferreira on the way to this title shot. He also trains under the Team Fedor banner out of Moscow.

Bilostenniy has previously shared training camps with Nemkov himself. A win would let him claim the belt and stake his own claim as the top fighter to emerge from Emelianenko’s gym.
