Chinito Walkers, EZ Run Club Test PUMA’s Newest Trainer

Bangkok’s streets turned into a testing ground for Southeast Asia’s running community last week. PUMA Philippines representatives joined runners from the Chinito Walkers and EZ Run Club for a three-kilometer night run, putting the brand’s newest daily trainer, the Deviate Pure NITRO™, through its paces.

The run was part of PUMA’s “Run the Rave” event, held at the NIC Factory in Bangkok on July 22, 2026, where the brand officially unveiled the shoe to elite running clubs and athletes from across the region.

PH Run Clubs Join Regional Runners for Bangkok Flag-Off

Sanjay Roy, managing director of PUMA SEA & Oceania, opened the event by sharing PUMA’s vision with representatives from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. A guided warm-up session followed, preparing participants’ bodies for the run ahead.

Representing the Philippines were Dominic Roque, Ashley Rivera, Jeff Ong, and Rhea Bue, who arrived ready to test the new footwear for the anticipated “Run the Rave” flag-off. They were joined on the streets by Chinito Walkers and EZ Run Club representatives Miguel Aldeguer, Thomas Santos, and Eric Isip for the three-kilometer night run through Bangkok.

The low-stakes, communal setting gave runners a chance to experience the shoe’s capabilities firsthand while spotlighting the rapidly growing culture of group running across the Philippines and Southeast Asia. As the event demonstrated, pushing physical limits and chasing a personal best hits different when it’s done alongside a supportive team — and a reliable pair of trainers.

Nitrogen-Injected Foam and PUMAGRIP Built for Daily Mileage

After the run, athletes took part in the immersive Deviate Pure Experience to dig into the technology behind the new silhouette. Built for comfort and speed, the Deviate Pure NITRO™ uses nitrogen-injected NITRO™ foam to deliver lightweight, high-rebound cushioning that absorbs the impact of harsh running surfaces.

That means runners can log their daily mileage without the early foot and joint fatigue that comes with lesser cushioning. Rounding out the package is a highly durable PUMAGRIP rubber outsole, which provides multi-surface traction to keep runners locked in whether they’re cornering on dry pavement or navigating slick, wet streets.

The PUMA Deviate Pure NITRO™ is now available at PUMA.com. Fans can follow PUMA Philippines on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for the latest updates and releases.
