PVL Draft Lottery Sets Stage for Alyssa Solomon Sweepstakes as Capital1, Galeries Tower Lead Odds

The Premier Volleyball League Draft Lottery takes center stage in Mandaluyong City as four bottom teams prepare for a decisive night that could reshape their future. A single draw will determine the order of the first four picks in the 2026 PVL Rookie Draft, with the league’s next potential franchise cornerstone hanging in the balance.

All eyes are on Alyssa Solomon, the former National University star who has officially declared for the draft following an international stint in Japan and a strong run with Alas Pilipinas. Her combination of size, experience and proven scoring ability has elevated the lottery into a race for a generational talent.

Draft order stakes rise

Capital1 Solar Spikers enter the lottery with the highest probability at 40 percent to secure the top pick, followed by Galeries Tower Highrisers at 30 percent. ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles hold a 20 percent chance, while Choco Mucho Flying Titans round out the draw with 10 percent.

Despite the weighted odds, the PVL has seen lottery surprises before. In the previous season, the team with the highest probability slid down the order, reshuffling the entire draft landscape and underscoring that statistical advantage does not guarantee the top selection.

Should Capital1 land the first pick again, it could reunite Solomon with former NU teammate Bella Belen, forming one of the league’s most formidable young cores alongside Vanie Gandler and Erika Santos. Galeries Tower, meanwhile, is widely viewed as a franchise that could be instantly transformed by securing the top overall pick.

Deep draft class talent pool

While Solomon headlines the class, several other high-impact prospects are expected to play key roles in team rebuilding plans. The group includes Niña Ytang, Detdet Pepito, and Camille Lamina, all of whom bring a mix of collegiate success and international exposure.

League officials are set to oversee the proceedings alongside regulatory representatives to ensure the integrity of the lottery process. The results will finalize the draft order ahead of the Rookie Draft Combine scheduled later this month.

As the PVL continues to position the draft as a pillar of competitive balance, the lottery once again serves as the critical first step in shaping the league’s next era and determining where its future stars will land.
