Even with the finals spot already secured, Savouge refused to ease up and continued to execute with discipline. The team showed maturity and focus, proving it is not just satisfied with reaching the finals but is fully prepared to compete for the title.

Savouge sustains intensity despite secured finals spot

Head coach Sydney Calderon emphasized the importance of finishing strong, reminding his players to maintain their level of play regardless of the situation. The team responded by staying composed and executing its system even in tight moments.

“Before kami lumabas today sa dugout, ni-remind ko lang ‘yung mga players na maganda pa rin na matapos namin ‘yung semis,” said Calderon, as he stressed the value of carrying momentum into the finals.

Despite resting key starters, Savouge maintained control through depth and structured play. The Spin Doctors showcased balance and composure, handling late pressure from Alpha Insurance in the third set.

Balanced attack fuels dominant sweep

Savouge relied on a collective effort, with multiple players contributing to maintain offensive pressure throughout the match. This balanced attack prevented Alpha Insurance from keying in on a single scoring option.

Alpha Insurance made a late push behind Jau Umandal, who delivered key hits to keep the match competitive. However, Savouge responded with poise, as Calado delivered in the clutch to close out the contest.

Finals showdown set with momentum on Savouge’s side

Savouge now prepares for a finals clash against Criss Cross, setting up a highly anticipated championship series. The team enters the matchup with confidence after completing a flawless semifinal campaign.

The Protectors, meanwhile, dropped to 0-3 but will still compete for the bronze medal against AEP-Cabstars. Despite the losses, they showed resilience and remain in contention for a podium finish.
