The Cool Smashers entered the match determined to avoid another heartbreak after missing an outright semifinal berth earlier. Drawing from their championship experience, they leaned on composure and execution to deliver when it mattered most.

After a brief stumble in the third set, Creamline quickly regrouped and imposed its will in the fourth. The team’s response highlighted the poise and maturity that has defined its dynasty over the years.

Alyssa Valdez led the charge with an all-around performance, finishing with 20 points, 19 excellent digs, and eight receptions. Her leadership and timely plays anchored Creamline throughout the contest.

Creamline pulls away with dominant fourth set

The fourth set began as a tight exchange before Creamline broke the game open with a decisive 12-4 run. That stretch allowed the Cool Smashers to take full control and dictate the pace until the finish.

Akari attempted to extend the match, saving three match points in a late push. However, a service error ultimately ended their comeback hopes and sealed Creamline’s semifinal berth.

Creamline’s ability to reset after dropping the third set proved crucial. Instead of letting momentum slip away, they responded with a composed and clinical closing stretch.

Valdez leads balanced attack in clutch performance

Valdez’s performance set the tone, but Creamline’s depth also played a key role in the victory. Bernadette Pons added 13 points, while Pangs Panaga and Tots Carlos contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Kyle Negrito orchestrated the offense with precision, ensuring a balanced distribution that kept Akari’s defense guessing. The Cool Smashers dominated in attack points, 59-48, reflecting their offensive efficiency.

Akari showed resilience, particularly in the third set where they forced extended rallies and capitalized on errors. Ivy Lacsina led the Chargers with 13 points, while Fifi Sharma added 12 in a strong showing.

Despite the effort, Akari could not match Creamline’s consistency in crucial moments. The Cool Smashers’ experience ultimately made the difference in closing out the match.

With the win, Creamline advances to the PVL All-Filipino Conference semifinals, where they will face PLDT. Carrying momentum and championship pedigree, the Cool Smashers once again position themselves as serious contenders.
