PFL MENA 2026 season set to launch in Khobar with regional stars

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) confirmed that the 2026 PFL MENA season will begin on May 8 at Dhahran Expo in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Tickets go on sale today, February 12, at 6PM AST. Fans can secure their seats to witness top MMA talent from the Middle East and North Africa.

The third season will feature competitions in featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions. In addition to tournament bouts, the event will include high-profile showcase fights highlighting emerging regional stars.

Champions return and local talent headline season opener

Reigning 2025 PFL MENA Lightweight Champion Salah Eddine Hamli will headline the May 8 card. Hamli aims to defend his title and maintain his dominance in the lightweight division. His return provides a major draw for fans in Khobar.

Saudi fighter Ahmed Albrahim will make his professional debut in a featured welterweight bout. Albrahim will compete in front of hometown fans and family. His debut exemplifies PFL MENA’s focus on developing local talent and promoting MMA growth in the region.

Bahraini MMA veteran Hamza Kooheji will enter the featherweight tournament and make his promotional debut. Kooheji’s participation adds star power to the opening card. Fans from neighboring Bahrain are expected to attend and support him.

PFL MENA’s management selected Khobar to host the season opener to connect with the region’s passionate fan base. Jerome Mazet, PFL MENA General Manager, said the city offers the perfect platform for champions, hometown favorites, and rising stars.
