K-pop group CORTIS has officially joined Friends of the NBA, the league’s celebrity and influencer program in Asia. The collaboration highlights the connection between basketball and music, giving fans unique experiences across live events, original content, and merchandise.
The group will make history as the first K-pop act to headline NBA Crossover during All-Star 2026. NBA Crossover runs from February 12 to 15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with CORTIS performing on Opening Night and making additional appearances during the weekend.
CORTIS has quickly gained global attention. Their debut EP reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200, making them the only rookie K-pop group in 2025 to achieve this. With over 100 million streams in the first month and more than 17 million followers on social media, CORTIS has become a global phenomenon.

Friends of the NBA merges music and basketball
CORTIS joining Friends of the NBA aligns with their vision to “color outside the lines.” The band will attend NBA events, co-develop branded merchandise, and collaborate on promotional initiatives. “We are beyond excited to bring our energy to represent the NBA and to connect with fans through this unique collaboration,” said CORTIS.
Wayne Chang, NBA Asia Managing Director, emphasized the partnership’s global potential. “K-pop and basketball share the power to inspire passion, creativity, and global fandom,” he said. “Together with CORTIS, Friends of the NBA will create unforgettable experiences for audiences worldwide.”
Expanding Friends of the NBA in Asia
CORTIS follows other K-pop acts in the Friends of the NBA program, including SUGA of BTS, LE SSERAFIM, and ENHYPEN. Launched in 2022, the program invites celebrities and influencers across the Asia-Pacific region to participate in NBA games, events, and fan engagement activities globally.
Tickets to NBA Crossover are available at NBAEvents.com. Fans can access concerts, interactive experiences, and VIP packages, including exclusive stage views and early venue entry. CORTIS’ performance marks a milestone in the integration of K-pop and the NBA, bringing a global fanbase to All-Star 2026.
