The Japan Professional Basketball League announced that it has finalized broadcast agreements with seven partners across five countries and regions outside Japan, significantly expanding international access to B1 League games for the 2025–26 season.

The new agreements will allow selected games from the Resona Group B.LEAGUE 2025–26 season to be shown overseas, with total broadcast and licensed distribution now covering up to 38 countries and regions worldwide, the largest international reach in league history.

The expansion underscores B.LEAGUE’s ongoing efforts to grow its global audience as interest in Japanese professional basketball continues to increase beyond domestic borders.

B.LEAGUE’s international growth strategy

B.LEAGUE has steadily strengthened its international presence through participation in major regional competitions such as the East Asia Super League and the FIBA Basketball Champions League Asia.

Strong performances by league clubs, combined with the arrival of more international players with experience in elite competitions including the NBA and EuroLeague, have driven rising overseas demand for B1 League content. League officials view expanded broadcast access as a key step in sustaining that momentum.

Compared with last season, the 2025–26 campaign will see B.LEAGUE games available in more international markets than ever before.

All-Star weekend reaches global audiences

International distribution will also include the Resona Group B.LEAGUE ALL-STAR GAME WEEKEND 2026 IN NAGASAKI, scheduled for Jan. 16–18, 2026.

The event will be streamed on selected international platforms and will also be available for free to viewers outside Japan via B.LEAGUE’s official YouTube and Facebook channels. Artist performances will not be included in the international broadcast.
