The Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers have officially closed their operations, ending an 11-year run that left a significant mark on Philippine volleyball. The team announced its disbandment on Tuesday, drawing a close to a storied program that achieved historic success and developed numerous talents over more than a decade.

From their early days as the Foton Tornadoes to their evolution as the Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers, the franchise leaves a lasting legacy. They made history in 2021 by winning the PVL Open Conference, defeating Creamline and becoming the league’s first-ever professional champions.

The seasons that followed brought highs and lows, including finals appearances in the PVL On Tour and challenging finishes in subsequent conferences. The Crossovers ended their most recent campaign in the Reinforced Conference with a 2-6 record, missing the playoffs and signaling the conclusion of their journey.

The disbandment now frees the team’s roster to explore new opportunities as free agents.
