PFL Lyon set for December with Nemkov, Cyborg headlining

PFL Lyon is set to bring world-class mixed martial arts action to the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, on Saturday, December 13. The event will feature Heavyweight and Women’s Featherweight World Title fights alongside the PFL Europe Tournament Finals.

The main event will see former Bellator Champion Vadim Nemkov (18-2) defending his PFL Heavyweight World Title against 2024 PFL Heavyweight World Tournament Champion Renan Ferreira (13-4). The co-main event will feature one of MMA’s most celebrated female fighters, Cris Cyborg (28-2), challenging undefeated Australian contender Sara Collins (6-0) for the PFL Women’s Featherweight World Championship.

Fans will also witness the PFL Europe Tournament Finals in the Lightweight and Bantamweight divisions, with two champions crowned in front of a global audience.

Exciting matchups add depth to PFL Lyon

Boris “Modern Gladiator” Mbarga Atangana (7-0) returns to the PFL cage in a Light Heavyweight contest against Portugal’s Guilherme Soares (17-7). Atangana has finished six of his seven career opponents in the first round and aims to continue his undefeated streak.

The card also includes Patrick Habirora (7-0) vs. Kevin Jousset (10-4) in a Welterweight bout, Taylor Lapilus (22-4) vs. Liam Gittins (13-4) in a Bantamweight clash, and Asaël Adjoudj (10-1) taking on Fred Dupras (9-2) in a Featherweight bout.

Other showcase bouts include Gustavo Oliveira (11-2) vs. Movsar Ibragimov (7-0), Paulina Wiśniewska (6-0) vs. Sabrinna de Sousa (4-0), and Rayan Balbali (1-0) vs. Levi Batchelor (2-0). The PFL Europe Lightweight Final pits Connor Hughes (12-2) against Aleksandr Chizov (12-3), while the Bantamweight Final features Baris Adiguzel (9-1) vs. Dean Garnett (14-3-1).
