The B.LEAGUE will bring its Hope ASIA Hoop Festival 2025 to 7th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City on November 22–23, aiming to strengthen its ties with Filipino fans while supporting community development. The event marks the league’s latest effort to use basketball as a platform for social impact, following recent community activities at the Tenement court that featured clinics, tournaments and charity programs with Filipino B.LEAGUE players.

Set in the heart of BGC, the festival will introduce an outdoor B.LEAGUE-themed court built in partnership with Grand Central Park and Mitsukoshi BGC. The half court to be used for the festivities will be provided by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, ensuring that the venue reflects the collaboration between Japanese and Filipino basketball communities. Surrounding booths from Mitsukoshi tenants will add to the immersive fan experience.

Festival features youth clinics and disaster-preparedness lessons

One of the weekend’s highlights is the B.Hope ASIA Jr. Clinic, designed to encourage physical activity among Filipino youth while teaching teamwork and confidence. The program also introduces “Defense Action” to the Philippines for the first time, bringing a Japanese-developed disaster-preparedness curriculum that uses basketball drills to teach responses to earthquakes, typhoons and other natural hazards. The approach gives participants a practical way to learn safety skills while enjoying the fundamentals of the sport.

Local talent will also take center stage through the B.Hope ASIA 1-on-1 Challenge and the mixed-gender 3×3 Challenge, both open to participants aged 18 and above. These competitions aim to promote gender equality, showcase emerging players and energize the community through friendly competition.

Donation campaign highlights sustainability and community support

The festival will hold a “Pass It Forward” uniform donation drive that encourages visitors to bring used but still wearable basketball uniforms. Inspired by the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle, the initiative seeks to provide young Filipino athletes in underserved communities with gear that can help them pursue the sport. Organizers are reminding attendees not to bring damaged or unusable items.

The event runs across two days, starting with youth clinics in the morning and tournament activities in the afternoon. The full schedule is as follows:
