The Spikers’ Turf has announced the postponement of today’s triple-header in the 2025 Invitational Conference due to the effects of Super Typhoon Uwan. The league cited severe weather and safety concerns as Luzon experiences strong winds and heavy rains.

“Please be informed that today’s scheduled games have been postponed due to Super Typhoon Uwan and the adverse weather conditions it has caused,” the league said in an official statement on Sunday morning. “A new schedule will be announced shortly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe and take all necessary precautions during the typhoon.”

Triple-header affected by severe weather

The matches originally set at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan featured Savouge Aesthetics vs PGJC-Navy at 1 p.m., VNS vs FEU-DN Steel at 3 p.m., and Criss Cross vs UST-Gameville at 5 p.m. All fixtures will be rescheduled once conditions improve and travel and venue operations return to normal.

League officials emphasized that the decision was made in the interest of player, staff, and fan safety amid the typhoon’s impact across parts of Luzon.

Super Typhoon Uwan has brought intense rains and disruptive winds across the region, prompting authorities to issue warnings and encourage residents to remain indoors. Spikers’ Turf organizers said updates on the new match schedule will be released once the weather stabilizes.

A new schedule for the postponed fixtures will be announced once conditions improve.
