Defending champion Stallion Laguna wasted no time asserting its dominance in the 2025-26 PFF Women’s Cup, overwhelming Tuloy FC, 19-0, on opening day Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Sky Pitch.

Team captain and national team standout Chandler McDaniel led the charge with a double hat-trick, scoring three goals in each half. Kena Davidson, Mia Bookhard, Tayla Christensen, Ativor Holali, and former Filipina5 member Lyka Teves added braces, while Malia Cerdon, Isabella Villaflor, and Kirara Ogawa chipped in a goal each.

McDaniel leads a relentless attack

The lopsided result was a far cry from the clubs’ tight 3-2 encounter in the August Ang Liga Filipina Invitational final, which Stallion won without McDaniel.

“This is the team that we’re preparing to go to Vietnam and play in group stage and get some really hard competition,” said McDaniel, referring to Stallion’s upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Champions League group stage campaign starting November 13 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Tuloy, missing key players Isabella Bandoja, Lanie Ortillo, Louraine Evangelista, and Yurika Valdevieso due to national team duties, nearly pulled one back late in the match. However, Jade Ann Jalique’s goal was waved off for offside.

Stallion looks ahead to Kaya Iloilo clash

“Our team’s looking pretty strong because we’re getting ready for AFC, so I think that we’ll come out and we should be able to show a really good [fight],” McDaniel said.

Stallion Laguna will next face 2025 PFF Women’s League champion Kaya Iloilo on October 19 at 6:20 p.m., also at the Sky Pitch. Admission is free.
