Adamson University unleashed an unstoppable storm, crushing Far Eastern University in straight sets, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14, to claim the 2025 Women’s V-League Collegiate Challenge crown on Friday, October 10, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
After a stinging Game 2 loss, the Lady Falcons regrouped and overwhelmed the Lady Tamaraws with relentless attacks to secure their fourth overall title in a Sports Vision-organized tournament. This marked Adamson’s third V-League championship, adding to its 2008 and 2010 crowns under Dulce Pante, and the 2019 PVL Collegiate Conference title with Lerma Giron at the helm.
Nitura leads Adamson’s decisive Game 3
What was expected to be a tight decider quickly turned one-sided as Adamson dominated the attacking department, 47-23, in the one-hour, 23-minute encounter.
Tournament MVP Shaina Nitura powered the Lady Falcons with 17 points, 13 digs, and 10 receptions. She also bagged Finals MVP honors after averaging 23.33 points across the best-of-three series. Nigerian spiker Francess Mordi led the Game 3 charge with 19 points, 18 coming from attacks, while Eloi Dote added 11 points, including three aces.

JP Yude praises execution and focus
Adamson head coach JP Yude credited the team’s discipline and energy for the win.
“First of all, we praise God for the win because sa mga hectic ng games the Lord sustained ‘yung strength ng mga bata,” said Yude. “They stuck to the plan. May joy sila, naka-focus and may happiness sila. ‘Yun ‘yung kulang namin nung Game 2.”
Adamson capped its campaign with an 11-1 record, its only loss coming in Game 2 of the Finals. FEU, meanwhile, finished runner-up for the third straight year after falling to College of St. Benilde in 2023 and University of Santo Tomas in 2024.
Jaz Ellarina was the lone bright spot for FEU with 11 points, including four kill blocks and three aces. Top scorers Gerzel Petallo and Kyle Pendon were limited to seven and one point, respectively, in the finale.
