ONE Fight Night 37 promises fireworks with Bumina-ang vs Alyshov.

Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang will face his toughest challenge yet when he meets unbeaten Elbek Alyshov at ONE Fight Night 37 on Prime Video. The bantamweight bout takes place on Saturday, November 8, in Bangkok, Thailand, and could shake up the division rankings.

The Filipino standout enters the fight with an 8-1 record. Seven of those wins came against high-level opponents inside ONE Championship. Bumina-ang also made history as the first Filipino fighter to secure a US$100,000 contract through the ONE Friday Fights platform. He earned the deal by submitting Chayan Oorzhak with a ninja choke at ONE Friday Fights 65.

Bumina-ang bounces back from first loss

Bumina-ang’s unbeaten run ended at ONE Fight Night 24 against Mongolia’s Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu. Instead of losing confidence, he treated the setback as a lesson. The 31-year-old sharpened his striking and added more tools to his game.

The improvements paid off. He returned with a first-round TKO of South Korean veteran Song Min Jong at ONE Fight Night 28. Months later, he followed with another first-round finish against Argentina’s Mauro Mastromarini at ONE Fight Night 30. Those victories restored his momentum and reestablished him as a threat at bantamweight.

Alyshov aims to keep perfect record

Across from him is Elbek Alyshov, a Russian-Azerbaijani grappling ace who stands at 9-0. The 26-year-old stormed into ONE Championship at ONE Fight Night 34. There, he dominated Jeremy Pacatiw before ending the fight with an arm-triangle choke in round two.

Alyshov’s suffocating ground game is his biggest weapon. He thrives in controlling opponents and hunting for submissions. Against Bumina-ang, his challenge will be to close the distance and avoid heavy strikes.

This striker-versus-grappler clash will test whether Bumina-ang’s knockout power can overcome Alyshov’s unbeaten ground arsenal. The winner could move closer to a shot at bantamweight gold.
