Alas Pilipinas will headline the opening day of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship alongside Korean boy group BOYNEXTDOOR in a unique fusion of sport and entertainment on September 12 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara described the event as “one night to remember in the history of world volleyball.” He emphasized the milestone of the Philippines hosting the 32-nation tournament for the first time, with the grand opening and live concert experience symbolizing the country’s central role.
Alas Pilipinas opens its campaign against Tunisia at 5 p.m., followed by the celebratory concert-style opening ceremony featuring BOYNEXTDOOR. Ticket sales are now live via the official website philippineswch2025.com.
BOYNEXTDOOR brings K-pop flair to historic volleyball event
BOYNEXTDOOR members Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak will perform their biggest hits as the official global celebrity ambassadors of the 2025 FIVB MWCH. Suzara said their inclusion is a strategic move to boost global awareness and bring volleyball to a broader audience.
“This partnership presents an incredible opportunity to engage fans across the world,” said Suzara. “Their unique appeal and global influence will attract a wider and more diverse audience profile.”
The championship, co-chaired by Vinny Marcos, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, and Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, will run from September 12 to 28 across the SM MOA Arena and Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Ticket prices for opening night range from P1,500 (General Admission) to P14,000 (Patron Center), with various tiers in between, as excitement builds for this landmark sporting and entertainment event.
