The arena is roaring, the fighters are fierce, and the world of Teamfight Tactics is about to be flipped on its head. TFT K.O. Coliseum, the highly anticipated 15th set of Riot Games’ auto battler, launches on PBE on July 15 and officially drops on mobile and PC on July 30. This action-packed set fuses anime chaos with new mechanics, champion roles, cosmetics, and competitive circuits for a bold new era of gameplay.

Anime-themed champions and chaotic traits power up TFT’s newest battlefield
K.O. Coliseum brings a fresh wave of anime-themed flair to Teamfight Tactics Set 15, with champions and traits pulled straight from a fantasy fighting tournament. Star Guardian Seraphine drops a “Friendship Bomb,” Kobuko returns as a Mentor, and Lee Sin adapts mid-match as the new Stance Master.
Set Lead Designer Michael Sloan calls this set “a love letter to the anime fighting tournament genre,” describing it as one that unites “many classic tropes into a big, bold set packed with spectacle and potential.” Sloan added that with the Power Up mechanic, players can “skip the multi-episode training arc” and instantly turn any champion into a game-changing force.
Twelve all-new origins and traits—including Soul Fighter, Mighty Mech, Wraith, Luchador, and Battle Academia—offer players a variety of playstyles and combos. From the friendship-fueled Star Guardians to the wrestling-inspired Luchadors, strategy will hinge on creativity, adaptability, and synergy.
Traits like Crystal Gambit add high-risk, high-reward twists, while Prismatic Traits now require mini-quests to unlock game-changing bonuses. Monster Trainer Lulu even introduces three units in one, allowing players to pick from Kog’Maw, Rammus, or Smolder as their monster sidekick.
Power Ups, Augments, and visuals redefine strategy and flair
The new Power Up mechanic allows players to supercharge a champion using Power Snax, unlocking a tailored set of empowering upgrades. Power Ups can be moved to different champions, making it a dynamic new way to create high-impact team compositions.
K.O. Coliseum also features over 120 Augments—including 70 brand-new options. Notable additions like “Tournament Favorites,” “Tiny Team,” and “Diamond Hands” reinforce the set’s over-the-top anime energy.
Players can deck out their game with fresh cosmetics, including Chibi Spirit Blossom Lillia, Prestige Chibi Ahri, High Noon Thresh Unbound, and six anime-themed Portal Skins like Spirit Springs and The Way of the K.O.
TFT Pro Circuit and Paris Open usher in a new era of competitive play
TFT K.O. Coliseum isn’t just bringing the flash—it’s also transforming competitive play. Starting August 2025, the TFT Pro Circuit (TPC) will become the top-tier competition in four major regions. The inaugural event begins August 29 with 32 pros from Teamfight Tactics: Cyber City.
According to Michael Sherman, Director of TFT and 2XKO Esports, “With the debut of the TFT Pro Circuit, our revamped Regional Finals, and our new experimental tournament system, the launch of K.O. Coliseum represents the most transformative moment in competitive TFT history.”
Sherman emphasized the high stakes this set brings: “We’re also eagerly anticipating the Paris Open—our biggest event of the year—where we’ll celebrate the remarkable skill and passion of our global TFT community.”
Meanwhile, the TFT Paris Open (TPO) returns bigger than ever with 768 slots—50% more than before. Held at Paris’ Porte de Versailles, the event includes LAN matches, Side Events, Artist Alley, dev panels, and a new 4v4 tournament for Day 1 eliminations.
K.O. Coliseum is anime brought to life in TFT, combining spectacle and gameplay depth like never before.
