The official weigh-ins for BRAVE CF 97 are complete, confirming all fights for an action-packed card this Saturday, July 12, at Burgas Arena in Bulgaria. With top global prospects on display, the final hurdle before fight night has been cleared, despite a few tense moments on the scales.

Said Maalem and Kolev headline light heavyweight clash

In the main event, Algeria’s Mohamed Said Maalem came in at 92.7 kg, while hometown favorite Kaloyan Kolev weighed in at 93.3 kg. Both fighters made the light heavyweight limit and are set for a crucial bout that could determine the next title challenger.

Vladev vs Tounkara survives weight scare

The co-main event between Pavel Vladev and Abou Tounkara also moves forward, but not without some drama. Vladev hit his mark at 70.6 kg, while Tounkara initially came in heavy at 71.2 kg. However, the French-Malian fighter returned to the scale later and made weight at 70.8 kg, keeping the lightweight showdown intact.

Catchweights and purse penalties for weight misses

Elsewhere on the card, Brice Picaud missed the bantamweight limit by 1 kilogram, but his fight with Lasha Abramishvili will proceed, with a portion of his purse going to his opponent.

Alinson Ochoa was the biggest weight miss of the day, tipping the scales at 60.9 kg—over 3 kg above the flyweight limit. His fight with Gerard Burns will now be contested at a catchweight, with both fighters agreeing to continue.
