Riot Games today unveiled the latest map, Corrode, as part of Season 2025 // Act IV in VALORANT. The new map transports players to a unique, climate-ravaged version of Omega Earth, where a historic French castle town has been transformed into an industrial Radianite salt mining facility. The map combines medieval architecture with industrial equipment, offering a visually striking and tactically-controlled environment that promotes a more strategic and controlled gameplay experience.
Corrode Map Features
The Corrode map comes with the following key features:
-
2 Spike Sites
-
3-lane layout for a more balanced map flow
-
Layered defenses and fall-back positions for tactical depth
-
Reduced overwhelming ability aggression, allowing for a more controlled environment in terms of map design
Corrode will be available immediately in the competitive pool starting on June 25. In the first two weeks of the map’s release, players will have a 50% reduction in RR loss for losses, while still earning 100% RR for wins. This helps players practice and familiarize themselves with the map in a competitive setting without the risk of deranking. Additionally, a dedicated Corrode queue will be available in Swiftplay from June 25 through June 30.

In addition to the new map, Season 2025 // Act IV also introduces the Phaseguard Collection, a futuristic skinline designed for tactical precision. This collection features the following:
