Basketball Without Borders Asia 2025 is set to return to Singapore, bringing together 60 of the best high-school-age basketball prospects from the Asia-Pacific region for an elite training camp from June 19 to 22. The four-day program will take place at the Singapore Basketball Centre and marks the first time BWB Asia is being held in the country since 2010.

This year’s edition features an all-star coaching lineup that includes 2024 NBA champion Derrick White (Boston Celtics), 2024 All-Star Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers), Portland Trail Blazers forward Duop Reath, and WNBA legend and 2025 FIBA Hall of Fame inductee Ticha Penicheiro. They will be joined by a group of experienced NBA assistant coaches and support staff, including Vinay Bhavnani (Raptors), Jared Dudley (Mavericks), Ronald Nored (Hawks), and Khalid Robinson (Warriors).

Developing the next generation

BWB Asia 2025 is part of the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development and community outreach initiative, designed to cultivate elite talent while promoting life skills and leadership development. The camp’s agenda includes 5-on-5 games, movement efficiency drills, shooting contests, and off-court mentorship. Top individual performers will be recognized with awards such as Camp MVP, Defensive MVP, Sportsmanship Award, and Three-Point Champion.

“This camp is special because it aligns with our new basketball and entertainment festival and the NBA Rising Stars Invitational,” said Troy Justice, NBA SVP and Head of International Basketball Operations. “We look forward to a memorable week that will impact fans and players across the region.”

Rising Stars and community impact

This year’s BWB Asia camp coincides with the NBA’s first-ever Rising Stars Invitational, a regional tournament featuring boys’ and girls’ teams from 11 countries across Asia-Pacific. The event will be held at the Kallang Tennis Hub from June 25 to 29.

The BWB initiative also features outreach activities, including a youth clinic on June 20 in partnership with SportCares, the philanthropic arm of Sport Singapore, and a coaches clinic on June 21 conducted in collaboration with FIBA.

Nike, the global apparel partner of BWB since 2002, will outfit all participants.

Since its inception in 2001, Basketball Without Borders has engaged over 4,600 participants from 144 countries and territories. Alumni include NBA players Josh Giddey, Josh Green, and Rui Hachimura.
