After a landmark debut in Cape Town, PFL Africa is set for a thrilling return as the league hosts its second event on Saturday, August 9 at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The night will spotlight elite African MMA talent in the Welterweight and Featherweight divisions as fighters continue their march toward becoming the inaugural PFL Africa Champions.

Main event pits Ocheme against Camara in high-stakes Featherweight clash

Headlining the Johannesburg card is a compelling Featherweight First Round showdown between Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme (6-1) and Guinea’s Mohamed Camara (5-2-1). With both fighters among West Africa’s best, fans can expect fireworks as they battle for supremacy in the SmartCage.

Esperanca and Mané set for Welterweight war in co-main event

In the co-main event, Angola’s Shido Boris Esperanca (9-1), fresh off a dominant PFL debut, faces Gambia’s seasoned Ibrahima Mané (14-5) in a Welterweight First Round bout. Both fighters aim to make a statement as they continue their quest for gold.

32 fighters from 15 African nations to compete in PFL Africa 2025

In total, 32 fighters from 15 countries will battle across four divisions in 2025. PFL Africa aims to showcase the continent’s top talent while forging champions and elevating African MMA on a global stage.
