Undefeated Irish boxer and Billboard-charting artist Marc Mysterio (3-0, 2 KOs) will make his long-awaited return to the ring on October 12, 2025, against Ukraine’s Serhiy Radchenko (11-8, 5 KOs) in a high-stakes 10-round Bridgerweight clash. The bout, titled “Irish Pride vs. Ukrainian Glory: Marc Mysterio v. Radchenko,” will be promoted by Ville Ruutu of World Class Promotions and is pending sanctioning by the World Boxing Council (WBC).
Mysterio, who hasn’t competed in over 15 years due to a 2009 basketball injury, is stepping back into the boxing spotlight after rising to global fame in the music industry. With multi-platinum collaborations alongside artists like David Guetta, Avicii, and Flo Rida, Mysterio also gained notoriety from his work with Trailer Park Boys and over 81 million streams in the past year alone. Despite his commercial success, Mysterio has unfinished business in the ring and is reigniting his boxing career with renewed determination.
Radchenko brings seasoned firepower to the ring
Mysterio’s opponent, Serhiy Radchenko, is a dangerous and battle-tested fighter who held the WBC Silver Bridgerweight title and recently went the distance with world champions Dmitry Bivol and Kevin Lerena. Currently ranked 18th by the WBC, Radchenko represents a formidable challenge—and a potential springboard for Mysterio into the world rankings.
WBC Ukraine President Mykola Kovalchuk supported the fight’s development, and a formal sanctioning request was submitted on May 26. “Defeating Radchenko, who entered May as silver champion, virtually guarantees me a top-25 ranking,” Mysterio said.
Mysterio’s return driven by pride, legacy, and philanthropy
Mysterio will be coached by Gabriel Sarmiento, the 2010 WBC Trainer of the Year, who began training him prior to the death of his longtime coach, Gregory Leschishin, tragically killed in a carjacking. “Marc will dominate Radchenko,” Sarmiento stated. “His skills reflect decades of dedication.”

The fight is also a philanthropic endeavor. Mysterio has pledged a portion of his purse to WBC Cares and will donate tickets for local disabled children. “I fight to inspire,” he said. “Irish pride versus Ukrainian glory—this fight is for everyone who’s ever been knocked down and stood back up.”
Major broadcast interest and global fan demand
World Class Promotions is currently evaluating broadcast offers from Netflix, DAZN, ESPN, and Sky Sports, among others. A mid-July press conference will announce the venue, broadcast partners, and sponsorships, as well as feature the official contract signing and live appearances from both fighters.
“I’m back to finish what I started,” Mysterio said. “I’ll fight Radchenko with or without WBC sanctioning, and I’ve already volunteered for the WBC Clean Program. This is the beginning of something historic for Bridgerweight—just like Holyfield did for cruiserweight.”
With Irish and Ukrainian fans already clamoring for tickets, and the boxing world watching closely, Irish Pride vs. Ukrainian Glory is poised to be one of the most compelling comeback stories in combat sports.
