Fifty-seven volleyball hopefuls have officially made the final cut for the 2025 PVL Draft, set to unfold this Sunday, June 8, at Novotel Manila Araneta City. Headlining the class is three-time UAAP MVP Mhicaela Belen of National University, who leads a mix of standout collegiate athletes and internationally trained players.
Belen will be joined by NU teammates Erin Pangilinan, Sheena Toring, Pearl An Denura, and Jerrymie Ann Turaray, forming a strong Lady Bulldogs contingent. Other UAAP schools like La Salle, Adamson, Ateneo, and UST also contribute multiple talents, including La Salle’s Alleiah Malaluan and Adamson’s May Ann Nuique.
From the NCAA ranks, College of Saint Benilde MVP Mycah Go spearheads a 17-player group that includes names from Arellano, San Beda, and Perpetual Help. This year’s draft also features international prospects such as 6-foot-1 Fil-Am setter Alohi Robins-Hardy and Canadian-based talents like Divine Cortez.
Youngest among the group is 20-year-old Angela Jackson, formerly of UP Integrated School, while oldest is 39-year-old Rose Joy Pinuela from Olivarez College. Only three applicants failed to complete documentation, slimming the list from 60 to 57.
Capital1 owns the first overall pick, followed by Galeries Tower, Farm Fresh, and NXLED in the top four. Completing the first-round order are Zus Coffee, Cignal, Choco Mucho, Chery Tiggo, PLDT, Akari, Petro Gazz, and Creamline.
