The Professional Fighters League (PFL) will make its historic Belgian debut with PFL Europe Brussels on July 5 at the ING Arena, headlined by undefeated Belgian prospect Patrick “The Belgian Bomber” Habirora (6-0). Habirora will face English UFC veteran Danny “Hot Chocolate” Roberts (18-8) in a highly anticipated Welterweight bout.

Known for his striking power and finishing ability, Habirora has won five of his six fights by KO/TKO and represents Team Sendo Brussels. His rapid rise has made him one of Belgium’s brightest MMA prospects, eager to impress the home crowd.

Roberts brings significant experience, including 13 career finishes and a lengthy UFC tenure. The matchup promises a stern test for Habirora as he faces his most seasoned opponent to date.

Co-main event features bantamweight clash between Lapilus and Taleb

The co-main event will showcase bantamweight contenders Taylor “Double Impact” Lapilus (21-4) and Ali Taleb (12-1), the 2024 PFL MENA Bantamweight Champion. Lapilus comes in with strong momentum, winning eight of his last nine fights, while Taleb is known for his knockout power and impressive record. Their bout is a key highlight in the 135-pound division.

A dream come true for Habirora and PFL’s Belgian debut

Habirora expressed excitement about headlining the event at home: “This has always been my dream—to bring a major global MMA event to Belgium. I’ve fought abroad many times, but now it’s time to fight at home. This fight is for every Belgian who has supported me. I’m preparing something special and historic.”

PFL CEO Pete Murray added, “Bringing PFL to Brussels is a milestone. Patrick Habirora is a star, and the ING Arena crowd will witness a night like no other. Get your tickets — this is history in the making.”
