On a night of pure elegance and heartfelt recognition, the Premier Volleyball League hosted its historic first-ever Pilipinas Live PVL Press Corps Awards Night at Novotel Manila. Volleyball icons, rising stars, and devoted fans came together to celebrate the game and the athletes who have defined it over the past season.
Brooke Van Sickle of Petro Gazz was named the first-ever PVL Season MVP, a crowning moment that she celebrated from Hawaii as she vacationed with family. Despite her absence, her message of gratitude and love for the sport echoed in the hall, underscoring the passion that drove her to an All-Filipino Conference championship with the Angels.
Creamline’s Championship Journey Recognized
Creamline Cool Smashers added another jewel to their crown by taking home the coveted Team of the Year award following their dominant grand slam campaign. Coach Sherwin Meneses claimed Coach of the Year while Rebisco CEO Jonathan Ng received Executive of the Year honors, cementing the Cool Smashers’ legacy in Philippine volleyball.
Alyssa Valdez, in a show-stopping pink ensemble, delivered a moving tribute to her team’s journey over eight years, from humble beginnings to national inspiration. Choco Mucho’s Sisi Rondina and Deanna Wong also took center stage as Star of the Night and Fan Favorite, respectively, dazzling in red carpet fashion and fan adoration.

Top Players Across the League Honored
Thea Gagate of ZUS Coffee won Rookie of the Year, while Trisha Tubu of Farm Fresh was recognized as Best Opposite Spiker. Cignal’s Gel Cayuna and PLDT’s Majoy Baron earned Best Setter and Best Middle Blocker honors, respectively.
Alyssa Eroa was named both Best Libero and Comeback Player of the Year, while Petro Gazz’s Chie Saet and Akari’s Eli Soyud were awarded Miss Quality Minutes and Most Improved Player.
The Spikers’ Turf division shone equally bright, led by Criss Cross’ Jude Garcia who bagged Season MVP and Best Outside Spiker. Teammates Ish Polvorosa, Gian Glorioso, and other standouts like Giles Torres and Steven Rotter were also part of the mythical selections, proving the strength and talent present across men’s volleyball.
Alyssa Valdez, who also serves as Spikers’ Turf president, championed the growth of the men’s game and called for continued support for the league’s unsung heroes. With this awards night, both the PVL and Spikers’ Turf reminded the nation that volleyball in the Philippines is thriving, unified, and destined for even greater heights.
