Capital1 boldly entered the 2025 PFF Women’s League to challenge the elite, and they have now delivered their biggest statement yet. The Solar Strikers stunned reigning champion Stallion Laguna FC with a 1-0 upset at the MOA Football Pitch, shaking up the title chase in the process.

The league debutantes, riding a four-match winning streak, moved into a tie with Kaya-Iloilo at 15 points. Forward Judy Arevalo said the team had been preparing for this rematch and was eager to prove themselves after a previous loss to Stallion.

Match-winner Ariana del Moral provided the crucial strike that breathed life into Capital1’s campaign. Stallion still leads the standings with 19 points but has only two games left—including a pivotal clash against Kaya that could decide the championship.

Capital1’s rise now ensures a tight finish, with Kaya having a game in hand and Makati FC mathematically still in the hunt. The young Makati squad, composed largely of teenage talents, has earned praise for its resilience and potential.

The final stretch of the tournament promises drama and intensity as no clear title favorite has emerged. With every point mattering, fans are set for a thrilling conclusion to this year’s women’s football showcase.
