British Chamber honors decade of achievements at 2025 GREAT British Golf Tournament

The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) concluded another successful staging of The GREAT British Golf Tournament on April 24, 2025, in partnership with FWD, at the prestigious Wack Wack Golf & Country Club.

With a legacy of over ten years, the event continues to be a unique platform that bridges the worlds of sport and business. Over 100 participants gathered to celebrate not only the spirit of golf but also camaraderie and meaningful networking between British and non-British companies operating in the country.

BCCP Executive Chairman Chris Nelson led the ceremonial tee-off and highlighted the inclusive nature of the tournament in his remarks.

“It’s always a great atmosphere out here at the GREAT British Golf Tournament,” said Nelson.

“Golf provides a place to connect with people not limited to our Members but to the wider business community–may it be a British and non-British company. That’s what the Chamber is all about.”

Backed by a robust lineup of sponsors including Autohub Group, HSBC, Philippine Airlines, Arthaland, Jollibee Foods Corporation, and Shell among others, the event also drew support from numerous lifestyle and hospitality brands such as Misibis Bay, Acuatico Beach Resort, and The Lind Hotels.

The tournament awarded winners across several divisions, with Ian Vergara earning Low Gross Champion and Erwin Co securing Low Net Champion ADL Award honors. Other division winners included:

  • Champion: Enrico Manalansan

  • Runner-Up: Sunday Sayo

CLASS B:

  • Champion: Bob Guerrero

  • Runner-Up: Waynee Tee Ten

CLASS C:

  • Champion: Mikko Estolano

  • Runner-Up: Jay Haendler

LADIES DIVISION:

  • Champion: Stephanie Yan Ligot

  • Runner-Up: Camille Garcia

Special Awards:

  • Most Accurate Drive (Hole #5): Honey Solante

  • Longest Drive (Hole #10): Ian Vergara

  • Nearest to the Pin (Hole #11): Jun Lota

  • Longest Putt (Hole #18): Marco De Padua

With another successful run, the 2025 edition of the GREAT British Golf Tournament reinforced its position as a cornerstone event for the British Chamber, highlighting both the enduring appeal of golf and the importance of cross-industry collaboration.
