Edwards and Rabadanov lead dominant pack heading into PFL 2025 semifinals

The 2025 PFL World Tournament continued at Universal Studios Florida, showcasing action-packed bouts in the Middleweight and Lightweight divisions. Top names including Fabian Edwards, Gadzhi Rabadanov, Dalton Rosta, and Jay-Jay Wilson emerged victorious, punching their tickets to June’s Semifinal round.

In the evening’s main event, Fabian Edwards (14-4) delivered a statement win over 2023 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Impa Kasanganay (18-6). After an evenly contested striking battle, Edwards landed a perfectly timed elbow, dropping Kasanganay and finishing the fight with follow-up strikes at 2:14 of the second round.

The co-main event saw reigning PFL Lightweight Champion Gadzhi Rabadanov (25-4-2) make quick work of Marc Diakiese (18-8). Rabadanov dropped Diakiese just 32 seconds into the fight, extending his unbeaten streak to 11 and solidifying his spot in the Lightweight Semifinals.

Dalton Rosta (10-1) continued his resurgence with a submission win over former PFL Welterweight Champion Sadibou Sy (17-9-2). The American Top Team product used a slick D’Arce choke to end the bout at 3:29 of the second round, securing a rematch against Canada’s Aaron Jeffery (16-5).

In the Lightweight division, New Zealand’s Jay-Jay Wilson (11-1) impressed in his PFL debut, overwhelming Mads Burnell (20-7) with relentless grappling and ground-and-pound. The bout was stopped at 4:32 of the third round, earning Wilson a showdown with Rabadanov in the Semifinals.

Alfie Davis (18-5-1) continued his rise with a first-round TKO over fan-favorite Clay Collard (25-15, 1 NC), landing a crushing elbow and sealing the finish at 2:12. Davis now faces former Bellator champ Brent Primus (16-4, 1 NC), who submitted Vinicius Cenci in the closing seconds of Round 3.

Earlier, Josh Silveira (14-4) earned a hard-fought unanimous decision over Mike Shipman, setting up a Middleweight Semifinal against Edwards. Aaron Jeffery advanced via split decision over Murad Ramazanov to complete the semifinal bracket.

The tournament continues on May 1 with action from the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight divisions.
