The Unity Cup returns this summer after 20 years, reigniting a celebration of African and Caribbean football at Brentford FC’s Gtech Stadium in West London.

Originally launched in 2002 with a landmark Nigeria vs Jamaica clash, the Unity Cup quickly became a symbol of cultural pride and sporting unity. Now, in 2025, the competition returns with fresh energy and a powerhouse lineup of teams—Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago—for an exciting three-day tournament.

A celebration of culture and football

The Unity Cup 2025 kicks off at the Gtech Community Stadium, home of Premier League side Brentford FC, beginning May 27 with a clash between Caribbean rivals Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. The following day, traditional African giants Nigeria and Ghana square off in what promises to be a thrilling showdown.

The tournament culminates on May 31 with a double-header, featuring a third-place play-off followed by the highly anticipated final.
