The 2025 PFL World Tournament got off to a ferocious start Friday night at Universal Studios Florida, with eight fighters across the Welterweight and Featherweight divisions punching their tickets to June’s Semifinals.

Headlining the card was Jason Jackson (19-5), who showcased his grappling pedigree against former Bellator champ Andrey Koreshkov (28-6). After a brief stoppage due to illegal strikes, Jackson quickly resumed control and ended the bout with a rear-naked choke at 4:21 of Round 2, putting Koreshkov to sleep and securing his spot in the 170-pound Semis.

The co-main event saw 2023 PFL Featherweight World Champion Jesus Pinedo (24-6) waste no time asserting dominance. Two clean lefts dropped Hungary’s Adam Borics (19-3) before Pinedo closed the show with hammerfists for a first-round TKO win at 3:43.

In the Featherweight Semifinals, Pinedo now moves forward to complete his trilogy with Gabriel Braga (16-2), who submitted Fred Dupras in the early prelims via rear-naked choke. Meanwhile, undefeated Russian star Movlid Khaybulaev (22-0-1) edged out a razor-thin split decision over Jeremy Kennedy, setting up a meeting with South Korea’s Taekyun Kim (11-1), who also notched a first-round rear-naked choke win.

The Welterweight bracket saw undefeated Thad Jean (9-0) knock out Mukhamed Berkhamov in the dying seconds of Round 1. Jean will now take on Jackson in one semifinal, while Logan Storley (17-3), who dominated Joseph Luciano on a day’s notice with elite wrestling, will face Japan’s Masayuki Kikuiri (11-2-1). Kikuiri advanced via TKO stoppage after Giannis Bachar retired between rounds.

The action continues on April 11 with the Bantamweight and Women’s Flyweight divisions set to make their tournament debuts, airing live on ESPN2, ESPN+, and DAZN.
