The FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Philippines 2025 has added Honda as an Official Local Partner, marking another milestone in the country’s first-time solo hosting of the prestigious tournament.

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), led by President Ramon “Tats” Suzara, formalized the partnership with Honda Philippines President Sayaka Arai in a ceremonial event held at Gallios Events Hall in Parañaque City.

“This is our first partnership with a Japanese brand for the FIVB MWCH 2025, and Japanese teams have had the most and best spectators in the Philippines over the last few years,” Suzara shared.

Strengthening Ties Between Philippine and Japanese Volleyball

Honda joins an impressive lineup of major partners, including the MVP Group, PLDT (Official Broadband Internet Partner), Meralco, Smart, and Metro Pacific Investment Corp.

“This is more than just a partnership,” Arai stated. “It’s a celebration of movement, passion for action, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Like our athletes on the court who push the limits with every serve, spike, and block, Honda is committed to championing mobility and innovation.”

The Filipino fan base for Japanese volleyball teams has been exceptional, especially during past Volleyball Nations League (VNL) events. This collaboration further strengthens the bond between the two nations in the world of volleyball.

Excitement Builds for the FIVB MWCH 2025

The FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Philippines 2025 will take place from September 12 to 28, with matches hosted at Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Tickets went on sale March 7, and matches featuring the Japanese team are already among the best-sellers, further showcasing the strong following for Japanese volleyball in the country.

The PNVF is also rolling out exciting promotional events, including:

  • Trophy Tour and 100-day Countdown (June 2025)
  • International Road Show
  • Mascot Contest and Launch
  • Media Broadcast Conference
  • Team Managers Meeting and Test Events

“This is a great start for us, and we hope this partnership further strengthens ties between Philippine and Japanese volleyball,” Suzara added.

Ambassadors and Music Partner Announced

PNVF also introduced Alas Pilipinas captain Bryan Bagunas and volleyball star Eya Laure as the Official Ambassadors for the event.

Adding to the excitement, popular indie pop-folk band Ben&Ben has been named the Official Music Partner, bringing their distinct sound and energy to the championship’s promotional campaigns.

With six months to go, the PNVF continues to finalize preparations, ensuring the Philippines delivers a world-class volleyball experience on the global stage.

This marks the Philippines’ return to the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship after last competing in the 1974 edition in Mexico City.
